Andy Berg

Andy Berg “owns” his work in the deepest sense possible as it emanates and is born of his dreams and inner thoughts.  A fervent and constant reader of all genres, influenced by Carl Jung and the belief that the unconscious mind communicates to the conscious mind through dream imagery, one is immediately drawn to the work which imparts an intoxicating mix of colors, evoking an emotional response that can range from violent to contemplative.

The passion with which Andy executes his artwork using oil paint on wood panels translates into an indefinable energy which seemingly bounces off the canvas, while creating a sense of balance capturing the viewer and activating his or her own imagination for interpretation. You can walk away from one of Andy’s paintings, but somehow the image remains in your mind, prompting you to reach deep within.

Influenced by the American Abstract art theme, Andy makes his own mark in his unique approach and execution. Formally trained at the Kansas City Art Institute, Andy has exhibited and continues to exhibit in solo and group shows in the Denver area.  Andy has painted in Mougins, France in his earlier days where our paths once crossed, and was awarded an Honorable Mention by the Art League, France.  I am thrilled to have ‘rediscovered’ Andy and am inspired by his evolution.
