Welcome to Mougins Fine Art, an online Art Gallery specializing in modern and contemporary art where you will see represented an interesting array of styles and mediums where we believe that collecting artistic works should connect you with its historical and sensory tradition.

Jill Lewis Odel grew up as an “art brat”, traveling all over Europe with her parents – New York art dealers whose company ‘Art Vivant’ represented Calder, Man Ray, Brassaï, and Sonia Delaunay among many others. Jill’s parents work afforded her the incredible opportunity of visiting the ateliers and homes of these luminaries, observing firsthand how their private lives influenced their art and vice versa. Included in her many memories are the sharing of pizza with Man Ray and his wife Juliette at a favorite neighborhood haunt in the 6ème arrondissement; witnessing her dad lose a game of snooker to Calder at the family farm in Saché surrounded by the many mobiles and stabiles which appeared to grow straight from the earth; of having tea and cake with Sonia Delaunay in her Paris studio while she added the finishing touches to a painting; and the numerous country picnics and get-togethers with Brassaï and his wife Gilberte in the hills above Menton. Frequently traveling back to France, as she raised her family and worked for large European companies here in the US, she never gave up her close link to the places and artists of her youth, continuing to build on her ties within the art world. Having decided to pick up where her parents left off, and following her passion, Mougins Fine Art was created. Mougins, the beautiful medieval village in Southern France, the ancestral home of her mother, the town where Picasso lived and died. With the tiled roofs and stone walls, lavender hills, vineyards and olive trees, warm orange sunlight and blue skies, it continues to be a magical place where dreams are born.
